All shows were AMAZING to watch & its my greatest pleasure to bring you the top 4 of my fav's on day 4....
SUBOO made the shift from resort-focused beach brand to Stylish & sleek...There was not a beach umbrella or printed kaftan in sight in the new SS 13/14... Cocktail dresses, sharply tailored dress-shorts & minimal shirting appealed to the city chick...Full skirted party dresses , sculpted cap sleeves and nifty sequinned prints softened the otherwise sci-fi vibe...We saw Black, white, grey, cobalt, tomato red, sky blue & lilac....
SASS & BIDE's latest "Stand to Deliver" ready to wear collection is an array of brightly coloured, embellished, sequined statement pieces perfect for a WOW factor event...Metallic, yellows & classic black & white are a stand out for me in this collection... Sass & Bide is one of the most highly respected & well known Brands of the Australian Fashion industry & are taking the world by storm...Sass & Bide was also the most popular brand worn by the public @ MBFWA 13 the street style was won to none other than; Sass & bide....I love everything about Sarah Jane & Heidi this collection they never seem to disappoint & always push to the next level....
PHOENIX KEATING made its first foray into the MBFWA 13 & the show was described as half presentation-half runway show & was a huge hit... This label is being described as one of Sydney's fastest rising fashion brands..The collection had a couture feel & incorporated elements of western history as well as looking to the future...Thick tweeds & wool mixed with metallic draping styles from the last century were revamped with updated cuts, dramatic tailoring& a pastiche of texture...The colour remained at polar ends of the spectrum, either muted tans, khakis, greys, silver, Black & whites....I think for a first debut @ the Australian Fashion Week Wow what a show/collection.....
SHAKUHACHI stayed true to her own form... Designer Jessie White created a collection that amplify's, flatters & celebrates the feminine body.... Space age 90s girly meets florals meets nostalgic 60s..The fun sorbet coloured metallics, patchwork florals, fabrication & the use of a lot of sequins all mixed together in perfect harmony....I loved Shakuhachi & my first ever dress from this collection I still remember as my all time fav but I wore it that much I sold it before we moved to Melbourne & boy what a regret.....!!!! I loved this collection hands down my top 4 of the entire MBFWA...Very much Impressed....!
MBFWA 2013 = DIVINE...!
with Love EH xo
